Booking a European walking or cycling holiday more than a year out isn’t usually where the savings live, but UTracks’ latest sale flips that logic. From 17 September to 1 October 2026, the operator is offering early bird pricing across its full slate of more than 500 self-guided and guided walking and cycling itineraries for 2027, covering everything from Dolomite mountain passes to Croatian island-hopping by bike and boat.
For travellers who already know which trail they want to walk in 2027, or who are willing to commit early for better dates and accommodation, the sale window is a chance to secure preferred departures before the trip’s popularity, and price, catches up.
Walk the Dolomites and the Camino

Two of Europe’s best-known walking routes anchor the sale. The seven-day Dolomites Guided Hike takes travellers beneath the limestone peaks of Italy’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites, crossing alpine meadows and mountain passes with nights spent in traditional mountain accommodation. It’s priced from $2,936 per person and includes accommodation, all meals, luggage transfers and an experienced mountain guide.
For those chasing the Camino de Santiago without committing to weeks on the trail, the eight-day Camino Sarria to Santiago Classic covers the final 115 kilometres of the classic pilgrim route, passing through rural Galicia’s villages and historic churches before finishing at Santiago’s cathedral. It’s priced from $1,282 per person, with seven nights’ accommodation, breakfasts, luggage transfers, digital route notes, a Pilgrim Passport and emergency support included.
Cycle Italy’s coastline and Croatia’s islands

Further south, the eight-day Cycle Puglia traces the heel of Italy, moving from the trulli houses of Alberobello to baroque Lecce, past olive groves, vineyards and the Adriatic and Ionian coastlines. It’s priced at $2,565 per person, including seven nights’ accommodation, breakfasts, bike hire and insurance, and digital route navigation.
For something slower-paced but no less scenic, the eight-day Croatia Bike and Boat swaps hotel transfers for a premium yacht, cycling across Brac, exploring medieval Korcula and taking in Hvar between days on the water. Evenings are spent aboard, with swims in the Adriatic and time in seaside villages. It’s priced from $3,506 per person, including seven nights aboard, meals, bike hire and an English-speaking cycle guide.
Why walking and cycling holidays give back more
UTracks positions its trips as regenerative rather than simply sustainable, an important distinction. The claim rests on specifics: a focus on low-impact travel styles like walking and cycling that reduce transport emissions compared to coach touring, partnerships with local communities along each route, and an emphasis on preserving the cultural and natural heritage of the regions the trails pass through. Whether that promise holds depends on execution at a local level, but the underlying model, small groups moving slowly through a region rather than in a convoy of buses, is a genuinely lower-impact way to see Europe.
With over 500 itineraries spanning more than 40 countries, from remote paths in Romania to glacier walks in Iceland, UTracks’ early bird sale is as much an opportunity to plan a full year of European travel as it is a single discounted trip.
