Set within a verdant oasis in the Altiplano, Tierra Atacama places guests at the doorstep of one of the world’s most dramatic landscapes. From panoramic views of the towering Licancabur Volcano and the Andes mountains to the shifting sands of the world’s driest nonpolar desert, the lodge’s design ensures nature is always centre stage.

Led by Tierra Hotels founder Miguel Purcell and architect Matías González, the refurbishment stays true to Tierra Atacama’s roots while introducing refined, contemporary elements. Over 40 local artists and designers contributed bespoke pieces, bringing authenticity and cultural storytelling into every space.
Original adobe walls from the 150-year-old cattle corral remain at the lodge entrance, preserving a tangible connection to the region’s rich history.
Elevated Dining & Wellness Experiences
The lodge’s dining experience now features open grill areas beside the main restaurant, where guests can enjoy dishes inspired by local traditions against the backdrop of the Andes. A new wine cellar showcases the best of Chilean wines, while an open kitchen creates an inviting, interactive atmosphere.
