From white-water rafting through the Grand Canyon to riding ATVs, Papillon Group is announcing the return of several popular tours for the summer travel season.
These seasonal tours include:
This tour is designed for individuals who want to see a remote part of the Grand Canyon as well as for adventure enthusiasts ready for a thrilling, 10-mile ATV ride to the edge of the canyon. Known as the Grand Canyon North Air Ground Tour, guests are picked up in Las Vegas via complimentary shuttle service, which brings them to the Boulder City Aerocenter. From there, guests board an airplane, from which they enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado River—the heart of the Grand Canyon. The airplane lands at Bar 10 Ranch, where guests experience a guided ATV trek through Whitmore Canyon and Lake Mead National Recreation Area to reach an exclusive vantage point of Grand Canyon National Park. Keeping with the ambience of the ranch, accommodation options include a 2-person covered wagon or a 4-person bunk room. On the next day, breakfast is served, followed by free time for various activities such as skeet shooting, beach volleyball and ping pong, before the return trip to Las Vegas. Another popular option includes outdoor overnight accommodations: guests sleep outside under the stars on an observatory deck furnished with cots and deck beds. This tour is available now through Nov. 18.
This tour blends the thrill of whitewater rafting with flying via helicopter. The adventure whisks guests to Peach Springs, Arizona, where Hualapai River Runners provide a guided eight-person motorized river raft, specifically designed for traversing the Colorado River. Many of the guides have spent their lives learning the features of the river and are highly skilled at maneuvering the class 4 to 7 rapids that may be encountered along the way. Each raft will make a stop along the river bank for passengers to enjoy a nature hike and lunch. The whitewater adventure is complete when they reach the Colorado River banks at Grand Canyon West. The concluding helicopter flight will soar along canyon cliffs while ascending 4,000 feet out of the canyon to the Grand Canyon West Airport. This tour is available now through Oct. 31.
The Scenic Canyon River Adventure pairs a sightseeing airplane tour with a day of rafting on the Colorado River through Glen Canyon. Begin with a scenic flight to Page, Arizona, with aerial sights of the Grand Canyon’s Eastern Rim, the Confluence of the Little Colorado River, the famous curve called Horseshoe Bend and the majestic blue waters of Lake Powell. From there, guests experience Antelope Canyon, seeing the area’s most photogenic sights while learning about the history of the slot canyon and Navajo lands. The adventure continues with Wilderness River Adventures aboard a motorized raft that takes guests up a 15.5-mile stretch of the mighty Colorado River. The raft stops on the sandy bank for guests to hike and take more photos. The tour continues through Horseshoe Bend then concludes at Lee’s Ferry where ground transportation awaits. This tour is available now through Oct. 31.
This smooth water tour option trades the airplane for ground transportation. This 15.5-mile float trip between the majestic walls of Glen Canyon and Horseshoe Bend includes a boxed lunch for each participant to enjoy at their leisure during their trip. The river eventually carries guests to historic Lee’s Ferry, where the raft tour concludes. This tour is available now through Oct. 31.
