New Tasmanian Expeditions adventures

Tasmanian adventure travel specialist, Tasmanian Expeditions, has released three new itineraries, designed to help active travellers get the most out of their Tasmanian adventure.

The new trips include a photography tour designed to help budding photographers enhance their skills and nurture their creativity, a self-guided cycle taking in many highlights of the east coast and a dedicated family trip in one of the island’s most popular national parks.

Flinders Island Photography with Andrew Thomasson is a 6-day photo tour of the scenically stunning Flinders Island, one of the largest islands in the Furneaux Group off the northeast coast of Tasmania.  Learn new skills as you photograph stunning coastal vistas, rolling green pastures as well as incredible flora and bird and wildlife.  Your escort, Andrew Thomasson, is a co-author of the Complete Guide to Digital Photography online course and an acclaimed expert in digital photography and film. The trip departs 3 November 2019 and costs $2,795 per person twin share, including all meals and 5 nights camping in an exclusive camp site.

Self-Guided Cycle East Coast Highlights is a 6-day exploration of Tasmania’s east coast highlights. Designed for more independent cyclists who want all the logistics taken care of, this adventure takes a route along the coastline from Bicheno, through vineyards and berry farms, to Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay and onto historic Maria Island.  The trip operates with a minimum of only two and departs Launceston every day from 1 September, 2019.  The trip costs $1,195 per person twin share, which includes all transfers, four nights cabin style accommodation and one night camping on Maria Island, bike hire (electric bikes hire also available), route maps and national park passes.

Cradle Mountain Family Adventure is a 3-day family friendly active holiday to iconic Cradle Mountain National Park. Families with children aged 8 years+ will enjoy walks within the park with the opportunity to summit Cradle Mountain, close encounters with native wildlife including the Tasmanian Devil and a chance to visit Mole Creek’s limestone caves and complete a maze.  The family adventure is priced at $1,295 per person twin share, and departs 21 December, 2019 and 11 January and 10 April 2020.
