Join a live elephant collaring operation in Africa

On 12 August it is World Elephant Day, an international annual event dedicated to the preservation and protection of the world’s elephants. What better way to celebrate than to be a part of an Elephant Collaring Operation.

Wild Wonderful World, ellie & may and Elephants Alive have teamed together to bring you this extraordinary opportunity to be a part of an important conservation initiative, protecting African elephants.

Join the team as they collar two elephant bulls in the Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. You will be able to view every part of this important operation, from in helicopter with the pilot and vet as they dart the elephant from above, to being on the ground with the research team from Elephants Alive working as they collar the elephant and take vital measurements and data.

Hosted by Michelle from Wild Wonderful World and Amy from ellie & may, you will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the live event and get personalised answers. This is the closest you will come to the action without having to leave home.

Not only will your live experience give you a greater insight into the importance of work like this, but 100 percent of the ticket price is a donation that contributes to the cost of the collaring operation.

The event will take place on 14th August 2021 at 08h00 to 10h30am (CAT South African Time) for the first elephant 14h30 to 17h00 (CAT South African Time) for the second elephant. Your ticket access link will allow you access to watch both collaring events. Live Filming is supported by @painteddog.tv
