Contours Travel is serving up a wild adventure in South America by experiencing some of Chile’s most iconic landscapes, including the snowcapped peaks and deep lakes of Patagonia, the forests and coastlines of Chiloe Island and the driest desert in the world, Atacama Desert – all from the comfort of three luxurious Tierra Hotel properties.
Situated in northern and southern Chile, and inspired by nature, the three Tierra Hotels are boutique lodges which have won architecture awards for the way in which they integrate handmade furnishings and textiles created by Chilean craftspeople, use natural materials from the surrounding environment, and showcase the beautiful landscapes around them.
Included at each of the three Tierra properties are excursions, all meals and an open bar.
Contours Travel’s new, 13-day ‘Taste of Chile’ in Style package combines all-inclusive stays at all three hotels, which showcase three distinct Chilean landscapes and offer an array of activities including 4WD touring, birdwatching, kayaking, sightseeing, bike riding, horse riding, bathing in hot springs and even hiking a volcano.
Tierra Atacama (three-night stay) is the first of the lodges included in the package and is situated amongst the moon-like landscape of the world’s driest desert. The hotel offers indoor comforts and excellent service, as well as small-group, outdoor experiences such as 4WD tours to the high Andean plains surrounded by peaks and volcanos rising to 6000m,a visit to a 12th century fortress and a bike ride through traditional villages.
The second lodge, Tierra Patagonia Hotel and Spa (four-night stay), overlooks Torres del Paine National Park in the far south of Chile with its craggy mountains, glistening lakes and abundant wildlife. The hotel offers a cosy hideaway after a day spent exploring the waterfalls, mountains and glaciers of the Patagonian outdoors.
The final hotel – Tierra Chiloe (three-night stay) in the 13-day package- is located on the island of Chiloe in southern Chile and boasts eco-friendly architecture and panoramic windows showing uninterrupted Pacific Ocean views. The island offers beautiful countryside, sandy beaches, still waters and the historic, seaside town of Castro.
Including all-inclusive stays at the three Tierra Properties, transfers between them all, all excursions and activities, a free night at the Ritz-Carlton Santiago and another at the exclusive Relais & Chateaux property in Santa Cruz, Clos Apalta Residence, and a US$100 spa voucher to use at one of the Tierra properties, the 13-day ‘Taste of Chile’ package is available from A$9489 per person, twin-share, including a saving of A$3600 per person. The offer is available for travel until May 31, 2019, excluding December 20, 2018, to January 2, 2019. A shorter nine-day package is also available staying at two of the properties.
There is no deadline for the discounted package, subject to availability. Conditions apply. Flights from Australia to Chile for both packages are extra.
